um, so I was looking for a job in january and got one, but it didn't work out and the first week of march i was jobless again. i was looking for a job since then until this week, when i finally got a job and started training. But I find it extremely difficult to find a good paying, decent job here.

Mario and I finally got our own place. It's awesome.

We got baby bunnies. Did I mention that my previous bunnies all died when a friend who was watching them brought a new dog home? Anyway, we brought home two new babies, and Mario and I have fun with them. They are heading towards 4 months old now.

Mario's been at his job for 3 months now, and is getting his first raise. I start work officially on monday. Oh, and I made a friend, finally!! I haven't found anyone my age to talk to since I moved here in December. Anyway, this girl is my co-worker at my new job. Mario's been making friends with his coworkers, slowly, but they still don't hang out. He needs some guy friends.

Ya, um, not too much else is new.

My relationship with my parents continues to deteriorate, and my relationship with my sister seems to be doing the same. I'm losing contact with pretty much all of my family members. In May, I am flying to see my sister graduate on the 24th. After that, she's gonna be taking some community college classes and in the fall going to Thailand with some Christians. I don't know if she's helping at the orphanage she helped at last time or doing evangelism or something more. Maybe it will be like an internship.

We really need a car. And a computer and the internet at home. I need a bike (with a basket). We have a lot of needs, but things are going well.

Which Jane Austen Heroine Are You?

Fanny Price

Fanny Price
You are smart and shy, a quiet beauty with brains that intimidate everyone around you. You often feel out of place, homeless and alone. As an intellectual idealist, you long to be heard and understood, but rarely waste your time trying to defend yourself to those who could not possibly understand. Time and experience is making you bolder. Despite your clever genius, you long for simplicity, and the love of your soul mate, who is a socially surprising and unlikely match.

I've never even read Mansfield Park, but I'm quite a Fanny Price, heh.

I'm still looking for a job.

i get really depressed because i think that it's been too long for me to go without a job, and I am just wasting resources. No matter what I do I can't seem to, however. This week I was hired at a job and let go later in the same day, because they decided i didn't meet the qualifications post facto. irrg...this is the second time i've been hired with a job and then not actually used...paid...you know.

the good news is that mario won't let me quit, and so i have 3 interviews in the next 3 days, and tuesday i do this tentative "we'll see if we like you if you work for us for a day" thing. needless to say, i hope they like me!

mario has a job, but it doesn't pay well and he's not too fond of it. my prospects over the next few days don't offer much better pay either. *sigh*

something is better than nothing, though, and that's what i need - something.

My phone is finally reconnected - for at least a couple weeks.

At least some things are looking up.

I got a job!

Yesterday afternoon I was hired at Complete Music, a DJ company. I will start on or after the 10th of January. I get paid $9/hr plus $50 commission per event booking; I'll be working in the office both making over-the-phone sales and doing typical office work. I'll start out full time at first, and then i'll probably drop my hours to part-time. In the mean time I'm still looking for additional work. It will be a decent job, I think.

I think I'm growing more accustomed to this place.

Tomorrow night Mario's mom has a christmas party. I hope I can have a good time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
